Nicky, I've been wondering, Just what is the "mississippi" quilt? Is that from the CHAC block exchange?? Or something else?

Hi Pine, About a year ago a neighbor ask me to desige a quilt for him and help his wife make it.  He wanted the map of the state as the "centerpiece" .  From there I was on my own.  His wife and I (me mostly) have worked for a year collecting things about the state that he wants on it.  I have now found the things I want on it and have started to put it together.  When you are "playing it by ear" you have to do a good bit of backing up and starting over.lol  Hopefully it want be to long now before it is finished.

Oooh, That sounds nice Nicky. I am imagining a little something like one of those "tourist" tablecloths, or scarves you can buy. With the state & some roads, towns & some items of interest pictured on it? I'm sure they will love it no matter how it turns out...It will be a great conversation piece for years to come...BE SURE to post a pic, ok?

I've mostly settled on a design for my Arizona blocks.  It's a combination of several techniques.  Is that okay with everyone or is there a preference for/against embroidery, applique, paper piecing, etc. when doing these kinds of block exchanges?

I don't think there is any preference at all.  Its how you want to make it.  Thanks for
joining in.

I've been trying to figure out/decide on what to do for this block. I keep it in my head all the time, but so far have not come up with any ideas that strike my fancy. I hope we aren't in a BIG hurry for this one just yet.

For those who are getting theirs started, at least you will be ready to mail when the time does come...I'm still trying to figure something out. hopefully it will come to me. soon I hope.

I'm all excited - I figured out how to add my picture when I post!  Yeah.  Liked the photobucket site you all were using so much I set myself up a page also.  Have  posted pictures of things I've done if anyone's interested in seeing some of the stuff I've done.

Nice work Michelle, I too like the 'reflections' photo and the baby quilts.  You do nice work my dear, pleasure having you join us. I think my favorite quilt is the 'musical notes' one, love the design and the colors.  I don't sew or crochet or knit but I love looking at pictures of finished projects ; ).
