Im currently turning half our utility room into a hobby room for me when all my craft things and scrapbooking stuff. I need some ideas of organizers that can be made by myself. Im great with paper mache, clay, etc. So any ideas would be fantastic!

cereal boxes are great ! I have cut them on angle, used double face tape to stick as many as I needed together and then covered the whole thing with contact paper ! It adds the stiffness and looks great on the shelf. This also works with shoeboxes. Soup cans and tuna cans are great and can be covered too and then I put a piece of felt in the bottoms . Wire baskets can be dressed up with raffia or ribbon . I even made my own window boxes. What ever size box I use, I measure and cut a window in the front facing side, laying it on that side, I tape a piece of either saran wrap or clear plastic over the opening using carton sealing tape. then I decorate the box according to what goes in it and also attach a white label just below the window in case it holds more than one something. I have them in all sizes according to the craft and stacked on the shelf. easy to see whats inside and they can be just a pretty on the outside as you want. Its all about having fun !

You can use old baby food jars to hold small items and you can screw(nail or glue) the caps on the bottom of a shelf so all you have to do is unscrew the jar and you can see what is inside. Nancy

Try a scrapbooking section of Michael's or any craft store.
