Wow, this is the first time I've logged into the forums.  Where is everybody?  There are over 6500 members (according to the forum count) but there is only a spattering of activity in the forums?  Is everybody really busy with the holidays (hope so )  I was looking for some comrauderie (sp?) here but nobody's home

I have been super busy in the craft workshop. My son and I are making wooden christmas lawn decorations. I draw it on the plywood, he cuts them out, and we have a painting party. then he makes the stakes and attaches them and we have a yard full. this years theme is the grinch. we built a fireplace out of an old door, I painted the "bricks" and the fire. then he built a mantel and a hearth and we use fake logs that rotate and glow. we put a train on the mantel and hung our stockings, we even rigged up a smoking chimney using a fog machine !! We have to start in Oct. as we do so much and there is alot of yard to decorate. We live on the famous "christmas street" in our town. So we had to do more this year than last. Last year it was a KISS christmas. We even made the newspaper ! Kind of hard to top KISS. They ARE the best band ! ( we are a KISS family, 3 generations). we also made characters from many of the christmas movies. its quite a display. next on my list is to get with my daughter-in-law and start making our annual family calendars. I'm on here from time to time, but like Santa, this is my busy time of the year ! Happy Holidays ! Denise

I think that most of us CHAC members make greater use of other club benefits than of the website. So we've joined so we can post, but we'd rather spend time offline crafting than online talking about crafting. (Plus there are other, preexisting, craft forums that were already very large before this one was created, and many of us belong to one or more of them, making this one somewhat extraneous. And less valuable, since there isn't as much activity.)

I think that most members are too upset that the magazine changed and it seems like no one is listening to us that we don't like so why bother coming to the site....

Well, I think they are losing people. They aren't taking new members and won't let people renew their memberships, so soon there will just be lifetime members if nothing changes.
