Hello Everyone!  I'm new to this and thought I'd introduce myself!  My name is Debbie and I live in Ohio, close to Cincinnati.  I love to Scrapbook, Cross Stitch, quilt and do Stampin' Up.  I also try to Crochet - and other crafts.  I do like to give handmade gifts and am always looking for ideas.  I am looking forward to getting some good ideas from this forum!

Hi Debbie,  Welcome to the forum.  I am new, too.  I'm Randee and I live in WI.  I've done all kinds of crafts throughout the years, but I'm pretty much just doing paper crafting now.  I do quilting and crochet when I feel like doing something different.  The club is a bit helter-skelter right now due to the magazine change, but I've decided to put the forums to good use and make new friends in spite of it.  There are just some things we can't control.  I've been a life member since '08.  I don't know why I didn't join a forum right away.  Too much other stuff going on I guess.

Pine Nut is right. I am interested in bingo, but will wait till the next go round. I'm still trying to figure out the forum from a navigational stand point. I need to feel comfortable with the logistics before trying to enjoy the fun. My new laptop computer drives me a little crazy. I can be writing and all of a sudden the slate is empty. Our kids dragged us pretty quickly from our preferred 19th century lifestyle directly into the 21st century. My husband could be considered a Luddite, although he will now play a couple of computer games. (If he can't beat 'em, join 'em?) All that to say that if you don't see any posts from me, it doesn't mean I'm not tuning in to see what's happening. I got kind of burned on a different kind of forum a year or two ago. ( not at all connected to CHAC) The cliques had already been formed and didn't seem interested in what a newbie had to say. You guys seem like a much friendlier bunch.

We are a friendlier bunch, unfortunately right now many of us are bent out of shape due to the decisions made by powers that be at Creative Home Arts Club. Who without asking, notifying, or making the slightest effort to discover what the members might or might not like or want decided that ALL would best be served by a scrapbooking magazine, which from my experience as an original lifer was one of the least displayed item in our magazine.

I have been a member a long time I just don't write on the forums much.
I would congratulate you for joining, but it is no longer the club I loved and joined and now feel only sympathy for all of us. The non life members have the best deal as being a yearly subscriber may allow them to get a refund. Those of us who are Lifers are imprisoned in the sickening mess that Creative Home Arts parent company has made.
I hope we will still have these Forums, but I do not think that is very likely.
